Tim Bray of the blog Ongoing came up with a great little concept that I think I'd like to support to continue the success of the American experiment, if only for a few centuries more. His idea? this makes me very curious. i think i could go for it, but it would take nothing short of the hand of God to make the rest of the US to accept this proposal. the US would sooner chop up Canada into smaller states and add them to our own. i just can't imagine anyone "down here" getting excited by this prospect.
